Hi, I am Christine a “modern”, contemporary artist that limits any influence dictated by an object, landscape, or any subjective rule for using Encaustic wax as my medium. My pieces are one of kind…..unique, rebellious, inventive and original. I pride myself on the principle that anything I create cannot be replicated. I attribute this to the use of Encaustic wax which is a combination of beeswax, oil pigment and varnish.
It is a heated, complex medium that is serendipitous, mostly uncontrollable and abstract in its final stage. Driven by my intuition and sense of balance, my art comes from within, expressing passion and creation.
Today painters do not have to go to a subject matter outside of themselves. Most modern painters work from a different source. They work from within.
